Half a Million Views on OurNaturistLife – Naturism, Humor, and Potato Salad!

Still Naked… Still Sarcastic… Still Talking!

Half a million views. Ournaturistlife, Kevin and Corin stand together naked in a natural outdoor setting, surrounded by trees and a sandy area near a body of water, conveying a sense of naturalism and intimacy.

It’s the end of September and it marks six months since launching OurNaturistLife.com and posting our first article. When we started, we had no idea where this little experiment in honest writing, photography, and our naturist philosophy would lead. We always had opinions but didn’t know if writing them as blogs would be of interest to anyone.

Today, we’re looking at something we could never have imagined so quickly… 500,000 views. Half a million… in just half a year. We’re still not sure if that means people like us or if Andy just keeps hitting refresh at work all day to make us feel better.

That number isn’t just a milestone… it’s a community. It means people all over the world are reading, reflecting, laughing, debating, and maybe even rethinking naturism in some new ways.

Who would have guessed half a million people would tune in to hear the ramblings of a naked, middle-aged couple about our lives in naturism? From the United States all the way to Rwanda (yes, even Rwanda sent us one reader), our website has gone global… 146 countries and counting.

We don’t even get that kind of attention from our kids when they visit and we’re fully dressed. In fact, we’re not even sure they’d notice if we streaked through the living room with sparklers.

More Than Just a Website

What started as a single blog and some photos has now grown into something much bigger. Alongside our free website with over 70 articles and hundred of photos, we’ve expanded to publishing on Substack and Medium… and we have followers on them all.

That matters to us more than the number itself. Because each time someone subscribes, comments, or shares, it reminds us why we started this… to spark conversations that go deeper than the surface of naturism.

We didn’t want the information we give to just be another brochure for naturism. We wanted it to be sometimes serious, sometimes humorous, emotional, vulnerable, raw, real… but always human. We hope we are achieving that goal.

The Ever Evolving OurNaturistLife

When we look back on our very first article, Part 1: Naturism as a Couple: From Private Moments to Social Events for a Stronger Connection, we cringe at the writing back then. It seems so clinical. And it takes 2 minutes just to read the title!

The more and more we write… the more and more our voice comes through. Our humor. Our sarcasm. Maybe at the one-year mark we’ll finally rewrite it. Or maybe we’ll just leave it… like a bad tattoo you got in your twenties. It’s not good, but it’s part of the story now.

Besides, nothing screams “authentic growth” quite like rereading your own work and thinking… Wow… did a robot with a hangover write this?

Still, we’re proud of it. It has 20k reads, after all. That’s 20,000 people who now know we once sounded like naturist accountants filing a quarterly report.

But hey… at least we’ve always been naked. The writing style just took longer to strip down.

Thank You for Sharing

Advocating for naturism online isn’t easy. META deletes our posts and bans us. X shadowbans us. Bluesky slaps warning labels on us like we’re a pack of cigarettes. Google gets so flustered if we type “nudity” and “sex” in the same sentence that it shoves us into the basement of search results, somewhere around page 50 (next to conspiracy theories about Elvis). Pinterest pretends we don’t exist if a single butt cheek shows up. And Reddit… well… let’s just not even go down that road again.

And yet here we are at half a million views. Not because the platforms made it easy, but because of you. You keep sharing, reposting, and saying, “Hey, these two naked weirdos actually make some sense.”

Every time you hit that share button, you help naturism, and us, peek through the cracks of the internet’s prudish curtain.

So thank you. For every reblog, restack, repost, and “oh my god, you have to read this” text message. Without you, we’d just be writing into the void, hoping the void likes naturism. With you, we’ve built something bigger. A community that laughs, reflects, and occasionally argues.

Our Promise

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. Everything we do will always remain free. That’s important to us. Naturism should be about openness, not paywalls.

That’s why we’re so humbled by those of you who have chosen to go above and beyond. Whether through a paid subscription on Substack or buying us a coffee or subscription through Ko-fi. We know you didn’t have to. But it tells us you value what we’re building together.

Every time someone buys us a coffee, we laugh, because let’s be honest… you’re fueling more late-night naked rants about potato salad at the clubhouse. And we can’t say enough how much we appreciate that. To know that it’s resonated deeply enough for you to support it this way… it’s honestly a little emotional for us.

We should probably write a book called The Naked Potato Salad Diaries and see if it sells.

Yes… we like potato salad!

Gratitude

So thank you. To the ones who subscribed on our website or on Substack. To the ones who clicked “follow” on Medium. To those donating through Ko-Fi. To those who read quietly without saying a word. To those who blocked us or hate our opinions. And to the ones who comment, share, and challenge us to keep writing better.

Every view, every message, every bit of encouragement has carried us further than we ever expected in such a short time. Apparently, the secret to getting read online isn’t clickbait. It’s just writing while naked.

Who knew?

What’s Next?

Half a million views is only a beginning. We’ve got more stories, more reflections, and more uncomfortable-but-important conversations lined up. Because naturism isn’t just something you practice… it’s something you live, and something worth writing and sharing honestly about.

Here’s to the first six months. Here’s to the next half million views.

And most of all… here’s to you.

Thank you for being part of Our Naturist Life. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ve got another million words to write… naked! And maybe just a little more about potato salad!

Kevin and Corin 🥰🥰
