Why We Are Naturism “Advocates!”

Our journey into naturism naturally led us to naturism advocacy. Not because we wanted followers or money, but because we believe in sharing this lifestyle with honesty and love.
We get asked sometimes why we don’t have a paid subscription only site for OurNaturistLife? Why don’t we have an OnlyFans, a Patreon, or some other platform where followers pay to access our naturist content?
Or why did we choose to create our own website and use Substack instead of using those tools that are readily available?
Naturism Is Free, and So Are We
Honestly, we have thought and talked about it. When we hit 100k views in the first month of launching this website, we were surprised and who wouldn’t weigh the pros and cons. We have watched some naturists become influencers and take that route. Imagine us, the next big naturist “OnlyFans” stars!
Yeah!!! Ummm… no. It just isn’t who we are.
We want to be very clear. We don’t believe there’s anything wrong with naturists who do use paid only subscription sites. We know some fantastic, ethical naturist creators who use platforms like Patreon to share their experiences and make a living or extra income providing behind the scenes footage or useful information. For them, that model works. They work for it, create the content, and they have the followers who are interested in what they provide. It gives some people an opportunity to be a part of something that they may not be able to experience in their normal lives.
It is not that we are morally superior or because we’ve achieved some kind of Zen naturist enlightenment. We just don’t see ourselves as “Influencers”. We’re not “Content Creators.” That’s really a skill that we don’t have or have an interest in developing. Being influencers or content creators is a lot of work. It takes a lot of time, and a big commitment to do it well.

Defining Our Personal Goals
For us, it doesn’t fit our goals or lifestyle. We are not creating and posting videos. Even though we have been asked, so far, we haven’t done any interviews or podcasts. For a few reasons.
One, my (Kevin) brain does not work very well in a fast paced interview style since my tumor which we talked about in The Lens I Remember Through. I tend to need to ponder and think about things, and we all know dead air is a no no. I am sure the interviewer would get tired of cropping out the audio gaps.
Two… both of us being introverts, it kinda scares the hell out of us.
And three… really, we don’t see ourselves as that exciting.
We are just a couple of regular people who happen to love photography and enjoy sharing our thoughts and experiences in naturism. Not because we want to perform for people. But because we love this life and we enjoy promoting it. Maybe what we share can help the next new naturists. There certainly are naturists that we follow who have inspired us along the way that helped shape our current views.
We Love Sharing Naturism
We are promoting naturism because we love it. It’s a part of our lives that brings us joy, connection, and freedom, and sharing that with others feels natural. We don’t want it to ever become something we HAVE to do because it’s our job. The moment we are obligated to produce content for money, we are afraid we would lose the spontaneity and sincerity that makes it fun for us.
Those things, spontaneity, sincerity, and fun, are very important.

Accessibility Matters to Us
We also want our images, articles and thoughts to be accessible to everyone. To us, naturism is about acceptance, openness, and connection. We want anyone who is curious about naturism or just looking for an honest take on it to be able to see what we share.
We are here to help change perceptions about naturism, to promote body positivity, and to show that a naturist lifestyle can be a joyful, genuine, everyday part of life for regular people like us.
We don’t want anyone to feel like they need to pay us to see what our life is like as naturists. We share our experiences because we believe in them, because we want to help others feel comfortable in their own skin, and because we think naturism is something worth talking about openly.
Authenticity Over Performance
Another reason is that we want to maintain our personal authenticity. If we were being paid to produce naturist content, it might start to feel like we were performing or creating something just to please an audience.
Influencers are often focused on professional content creation and paid promotion because of revenue generation. While advocates are typically driven by a genuine passion and a desire to help others.
We never want to find ourselves wondering if something we are doing is just for the content and money. Our naturist journey is real. It’s our life, not a product. Mistakes and all.

OnlyFans in Naturist Spaces
That said, we have opinions about the impact of OnlyFans and similar platforms on naturism. While some creators do use them ethically for naturism, the reality is that many others who are not and they aggressively market their accounts in naturist spaces. They follow anyone and everyone in pursuit of subscribers and they don’t actively participate in conversations. We have all seen them. “I only reply to comments or messages on my OF page!” Click bait!
We don’t see very many online naturists saying “Hey! Awesome! Another follower with an Onlyfans account!” The tactics they use can be frustrating for online naturists who aren’t interested in pay walled content and lead to a flood of promotional accounts we constantly have to block as followers.
And unfortunately, even a legitimate naturist account can get lumped in with the rest and get blocked because many assume… well, if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

I definitely feel that you are influences for naturism for all the right reasons. I am selective on who I read or listen to and your blog has proven over and over to be well worth my time. What you have to say and the perspective you bring are truly refreshing.
Like you I try to contribute to the narrative by posting articles and stories for free in the hopes of reaching those who are still considering trying the Naturist lifestyle. Keep on sharing and influencing. It is so refreshing to see a couple so passionate about this wonderful way of life.

Thank you. That is very kind of you. 😊😊

Thanks for being such great advocates.. I hope that with my Instagram and blue sky accounts that i’m doing the same… to promote healthy, nude non-sexual activities!
-
You are!!! 😊😊

I would call you influencers, but not in the way most influencers are. You write exceptionally well. It would be worth the read without the photos. All your posts are thought provoking and balanced. Thankyou again.

The last thing you need is an Onlyfans page! While it does host a variety of activities, the service is widely known for being popular with sex workers who produce pornography. You would be bombarded with inappropriate contact. Unfortunately “naturism” and “nudism” are popular search terms for people simply looking for porn. Even MeWe has become that way too. I get an endless stream of follow requests from people on MeWe claiming to be “naturists” but whose profiles clearly indicate their true intentions!
I agree with your stance on providing free access. We don’t have any fees on our online group either. We largely cater for folks who, for a host of reasons, cannot join a landed club. But more than that – we advocate the right of any individual to decide what pieces of cloth, if any, get hung on their own body, whether they are naturists, nudists, or don’t follow any particular “ism”.

Hello
I’m Miguel, a nudist from Chile.
I follow you on Twitter Mewe… I found you on body.social and it directed me here.Greetings from the south of the world.
-
Thanks for following but we are not on MEWE! Do you see us there?
-
No. You’re no longer in Mewe, but they were there for a while, and I used to follow them there. I’m still there.
-
Yes we were. We are looking at returning.
-
-
Sorry. It must be a problem with the online translator (I don’t speak English).
I meant to say that I followed them (in the past tense) on Twitter and Mewe.

Thank you so much! 😊😊

Thank you Kevin and Corin for your very informative and interesting posts on naturism. The fact that you have shared and freely allowed access to your own experiences is applauded as an inspiration for both present and prospective naturists. There are many who, for one reason or another during these difficult times, are unable to find the available funds for a pay for follow fee.
Thank you for your inspirational commitment to naturism

“We are both introverts…” ???
While you know yourselves better than I, I have to really question that statement!! You both clearly have no issues putting yourselves out there nude, thats a very very small percentage of people willing to do so. Sorry I think you’re extroverts. Introverts shower with their clothes on and the lights off.
-
Putting ourselves out there online is very different than social interactions. Introverts like us are people who draw our energy and are most comfortable in our own thoughts and feelings. We tend to prefer solitary activities and quiet environments alone or with just the two of us. In long social interactions we get drained so we recharge by spending time alone.

I applaud you! I notice more and more that many people with blogs or podcasts are going this route. There is a very good podcasts that I listen to each week, a few months ago they started having a Patreon page. Although their podcasts are free, being a Patreon subscriber came with additional content, and although I don’t usually get paid subscriptions, the extra content was worth it to me. It turns out that becoming a Patreon subscriber opened the door for Patreon to AUTOMATICALLY renew and charge me each month! I lost interest immediately! Had Patreon’s business practices been more ‘clean’, I would have subscribed. Again, I really appreciate your attitude! Sincerely, Gerald L Austin

This is the perfect example of complete integrity! The only way NATURISM will become mainstream is for ambassadors to explain motives honestly. These folks are the gold standard for leadership to change society and culture for the benefit of everyone!
-
Thank you Scott!

When you are doing everything right, keep on doing exactly what you are doing! Know that your support is larger than the Wonderful Weirdos (respectful honest folks) who take time to respond and post.

We are a senior naturist couple (81, 74). We have converted our in-city property, 3/4 acre, to almost entirely Naturist friendly. We love what you are doing. You are inspiring.

That’s so awesome! We have done the same with our 4 acres. 😃😁

I made the decision not to subscribe to ANY paid subscription sites, for a couple of reasons. I don’t have the spare money to do so and, personally, I don’t think that naturism is served better by them. There are a lot of people who are genuine advocates for naturism who have pay for view sites that I might want to look at. But I don’t.
Keep on being free Kevin and Corin.
-
We respect that. We don’t pay either.

Ich möchte am liebsten den ganzen Tag so verbringen und nicht nur am Wochenende. Es ist in Süddeutschland nicht so einfach sich nackt zu zeigen.

Have you checked out this site? I thought Germany had places everywhere. https://www.getnakedgermany.de/

always project down to earth vibes. That’s one of the things I like about you.

We are pretty weird but normal! 😃😁

THANK YOU for not putting your content on a paid site. I don’t have any paid subscriptions to anything, becauwe I can’t afford them – no, I cannot afford even $5/month. Right now, all my wife and I have, coming in, is Social Security.
I’m not an introvert. But I do have introverted friends, and I love them as they are.
Kevin, each time I read your blog, I get the feeling that this is something you’ve worked at putting together. It’s well-written. The content flows naturally like a professional article. Thank you for the work you put into it!
-
Ditto!
-
To be honest, I never wrote anything before but my brain was always thinking and asking questions in the community. This was taking a risk at putting our thoughts into a much longer format. But we are enjoying it. And the support has been overwhelmingly positive! Thank you for your support as well.

-
You two are the absolute best and I enjoy all of your posts. Thank you for your willingness to share your wisdom and please keep it up as long as you are able.

Thanks Jeff!
